On March 9, the OHI sent comments for the TRCA hearing on this issue. We thank the Authority and its staff for their position on the unprecedented order, support the proposed conditions for the permit, and suggest the TRCA and Conservation Ontario articulate their concerns about O Reg 159/21 and Schedule 3 of Bill 257, both of which appropriate CA mandated responsibilities to a black box of what appear to be arbitrary Provincial decision-making, absent the involvement of the One Window approach to planning and any clear protocols.
