We are pleased to announce that the OHI will be launching Land Use Impacts in the Great
Lakes in early 2025.
Aided by a generous grant from Freshwater Future, this project will:

Create a Summary of Land Use Impacts on the health of the basin and its waters, including
both planning and stewardship practices; and,

Craft a draft Vision Statement to Address Land Use Impacts for the possible attention of
the Partners to the Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement.
Input will be sought from those involved in protecting the Great Lakes, led by the OHI
Watershed Advisory Council, and project communications that will be supported by the Great
Lakes Ecoregion Network and others.
Project Phases will be announced in early 2025.
