As mentioned on Labour Day, Ontario has undertaken a sweeping set of renewals on four initiatives, covering land use planning, the Great Lakes, conservation authorities, and wetland conservation. While numerous organizations are making thoughtful submissions on each initiative, the OHI crafted a letter to Premier Wynne, supported by 25 signatories, to encourage the Government to provide the direction necessary to identify and deliver a more fully integrated system of natural heritage protection, watershed management, and land use planning.
